Town Council
The Yemassee Town Council is comprised of the Mayor and four council members who serve overlapping four-year terms. Town Council members serve at large, which means each Council Member represents the Town at large as opposed to a specific "ward" or "zone". Town elections take place every two years, unless a situation arises that dictates the calling of a special election.
Our Town Council meetings are typically held the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings take place at 6:30PM and are held in the Council Chambers located at 101 Town Cir, Yemassee, SC 29945. Agendas and Minutes are posted as quickly as possible. Meeting agendas are typically made available online by 5PM on Friday but may be posted no later than 24 hours prior to the Council Meeting. Stay informed, join our e-mail list and receive our Council Agendas as soon as they are posted.
