Patrol
The Patrol Division is the largest component of the police department, led by Captain Joe Loadholt. The patrol division is made up of four patrol shifts that keep the streets of Yemassee safe 24 hours per day and 7 days per week and are the first to respond to calls for service. Captain Loadholt is assisted in his duties by Cpl. Robert Cook, Patrol Sergeant.
Patrol Functions
Most Police functions are handled through this division, such as:
- Business checks
- Criminal apprehension
- Report taking
- Residential patrols
- Routine patrols
- Traffic enforcement
