Pine Track plan

Town Council Approves Pine Street PUD for Jinks-Corbett Tract

The Pine Street Planned Unit Development Master Plan has been approved by the council with a unanimous vote. This plan is for a piece of land called the Jinks-Corbett tract, located where U.S. Highway 17A and Jinks Street intersect in Hampton County. The plan includes building 107 single-family homes, as well as 200,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space and the necessary infrastructure. This development project will create job opportunities and homes for families in Yemassee, making our town better while keeping its rural feel and open space intact. The PUD overlay zone was adopted by the Town of Yemassee Council to ‘encourage flexibility in land planning that will result in the improved design, character, and quality of new homogenous and mixed-use developments; to promote the most appropriate use of land; to facilitate the provision of streets and utilities; and to preserve the natural and scenic features and open space.’
