REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

for

Professional Services

TOWN OF YEMASSEE WATER EXTENSION/UPGRADES & SEWER EXTENSION

The Town of Yemassee is accepting proposals for engineering services for the permitting, design, and construction administration of water and sewer system improvements in the Town of Yemassee. The proposed improvements will include

  • Extend and/or upgrade water mains along Old Salkehatchie Highway from Hill Rd to Terry Rd, including Likita Ln.
  • Extend water mains on Jackson St to Old Salkehatchie Hwy.
  • Upgrade water mains on Hunt St, Lacey St and Hwy 17A/21.
  • Extend sewer service along Riley St from Willis St to Bing St.

A preliminary review of the project indicates that a wetlands permit may be required.  The successful firm shall delineate wetlands along the proposed route and coordinate with USACE as required.

This project is being funded all or in part through a Community Development Block Grant from the SC Department of Commerce and the successful firm shall comply with all requirements of the CDBG grant program.

Lowcountry Regional Water System owns and operates the water and sewer system within the Town of Yemassee. All improvements must be designed in accordance with LRWS specifications.

The bidding window has opened as of 2:30 PM on October 14, 2020 and will close on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 5:00 PM.
