There's a lot of misinformation circulating the internet and Social Media regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Please remember to check with official government sources to verify the accuracy of information. We've compiled a list of resources and will update this bulletin as the disease progresses. Your Town Government is keeping in continuous contact with County, State, and Federal Health Officials and will disseminate any information they provide us through our various channels.

"DHEC is closely monitoring a rapidly emerging outbreak of a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) first identified in the city of Wuhan, China. Cases have been confirmed in other countries, including the United States. As cases are confirmed, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is posting updates on its website. That includes summaries outlining case numbers and a map and list of affected states and countries. DHEC is investigating two possible cases of 2019 Novel Coronavirus in South Carolina."
If you are concerned about your own personal health or are showing symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, please call your personal doctor or healthcare provider. Your healthcare provider can evaluate the cause of your illness and, if appropriate, can discuss testing for COVID-19 with DHEC. If you meet the criteria for testing, DHEC will help arrange testing along with your healthcare provider.
